Position Summary:

The Groundskeeper assists the Head Groundskeeper in maintaining the football fields and grounds of the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium and the 49ers' training facility.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintains the fields and grounds, mows, edges, and trims.
• Paints the field.
• Applies fertilizer, sand, and pest control products.
• Assists in irrigation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Practices preventative maintenance of all equipment.
• Ensures that grounds are free of trash and debris.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Abilities and Skills:

• Ability to focus on a speaker using verbal and non-verbal clues to understand their message, comprehend the information, and respond thoughtfully.
• Creative and innovative; the ability to see alternatives and solutions.
• Ability to achieve planned objectives through completing relevant tasks and focus.
• Spanish-speaking preferred.

Education and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in groundskeeping and landscaping required.
• Experience in sports turf maintenance preferred.

The employee will be in an outdoor facility the majority of the time and will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

This position requires the ability to work extended hours and/or weekends.

Compensation:

$25-26/hour plus Overtime
