We are currently looking for a research and insights associate to join our FanDuel Canada team! In this role, you will be responsible for conducting deep analysis of internal customer and external consumer data, forming data points into insights, and building sharp reports across Sportsbook and Casino verticals. You will also work closely with various stakeholders within the commercial, marketing, and product teams, while building and maintaining relationships with various external agency partners.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Stay up to date with trends in our industry and closely monitor competitor activity
  • Analyze large data sets to identify key insights that inform cross-functional decision making
  • Synthesize data and research findings into actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders
  • Support brand tracking research process and reporting including:
    • Working with external partners to ensure survey and analysis plan are up to date based on evolving business needs
    • Staying on the pulse with results of monthly and quarterly brand performance reports, becoming the go-to for brand positioning knowledge
    • Creating tailored presentations, reports, and executive summaries for internal stakeholders (e.g., brand, media, commercial) to commercialize relevant insights
  • Support end-to-end research process for FanDuel standard customers surveys including:
    • Setting up surveys, monitoring fielding, analyzing raw data, identifying key insights, and developing quarterly reports
    • Synthesizing insights most relevant to internal stakeholders (e.g., brand, media, commercial) and turning insights into actionable recommendations
    • Working with stakeholders to drive action from research findings 
    • Identifying opportunity areas to continuously improve standard customer surveys based on needs of cross-functional teams
  • Assist Insights Manager with ad-hoc internal and external research projects as they arise

Requirements

  • Degree in business, marketing, math, finance, or other quantitative fields with a strong GPA
  • 2+ years of experience working on quantitative research projects
  • Very strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and other data analytical tools
  • Basic knowledge of statistical concepts like regression, category drivers, perception analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments
  • Passion for the iGaming industry, with a natural curiously to learn about customer trends and the market landscape within it

Assets

  • Qualitative research project exposure
  • Experience working with research agencies like Nielsen, Kantar, Ipsos
  • Understanding of iGaming industry
  • Experience navigating a highly regulated and complex industry
  • Proficient in SQL or similar database querying tools

The applicable salary range for this position is $62,000 - $77,000 CAD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand.
